Acuvue is range of products created by Johnson & Johnson, one of the top lens manufacturers on today’s market. Acuvue Oasys is the most popular brand in the range and uses the patented technique called ‘Hydraclear’ that uses
a silicon wetting agent to keep lenses moist and comfortable throughout the day.
Acuvue Oasys lenses come with two replacement schedules:
- Weekly use. Also known as ‘extended wear’, this schedule allows you to wear the lenses for six nights in a row and then replace them with a fresh pair. This may be perfect for busy people or, in general, anyone who doesn’t want to be bothered with cleaning the lenses every day.
- Bi-weekly use. As the name says, this schedule allows you to wear the lenses for two weeks, but you have to take them off every night and clean them.
Acuvue Oasys lenses boast great protection capabilities against ultraviolet light. They are rated as Class 1 UV protection with 96% UV-A as well as 100% UV-B radiation, which puts them at the very top of the chart.
